I merge various histories and timelines by weaving the handwritten letters into a quilt. The process of interacting with strangers to prompt these handwritten letters facilitates an environment for collective healing. "contactless" began as a site-specific project of interacting with strangers at Loyola Beach, Chicago. My work has evolved into onsite letter writing stations at Esquina Gallery Chicago, where I have left instructions to write a letter and drop it off in a provided mailbox. My goals for contactless are expanding into the digital world as well. I have created a website where anyone around the world can submit a letter to the digital quilt. "contactless" aims to facilitate an outlet for unspoken messages to be released into the world.
